Frequently Asked Questions

What Do I Need to Bring on the Yacht?

All you need to bring is food and drinks.  The yacht has a fully-equipped kitchen with all plates, cutlery, pots, pans, kettle etc. Linen is also provided.

Do I have to know how to sail?

Past ownership or charter experience is helpful but as long as you have some sailing experience to a reasonable level to be able to handle the yacht we can train you further.

Every 10% share includes a complimentary package of certified training, and private tuition. This includes the International Bareboat Skipper Certification – 1 day theory & 3 day practical course – as well as two days private tuition giving best practice instruction to improve your handling and operation skills.

Do I need to bring safety equipment?

No, all required safety equipment is already on board, including lifejackets, flares, first aid kit, fire blanket, fire extinguisher and EPIRB

Can catering be arranged?

Yes, we can arrange catering for you that can be delivered and ready and waiting on board and drinks can be ordered from our supplier and iced up ready for consumption.

Where can I park my car?

There is abundant car parking close by.  Discounted parking is available at the Harbourside parking structure next to the Novotel, accessed off Murray Street and only 100m from our base.

Can I unload my car close to the yacht?

Yes. Simply call on approach and we will arrange access.

Can I return the yacht after hours?

Yes, we simply have to alert the marina security.

Am I restricted to only sail on Sydney Harbour?

No.  It is common for owners to take the boat to Broken Bay and enjoy the idyllic surrounds of Cowan Creek, Pittwater and parts of the Hawkesbury.

Can I go ashore even when I have the boat?

Yes.  You can go ashore via dinghy or dock the boat at a visitor berth at a yacht club.

Do I need to bring my own bedding?

No.  we supply all linen and bedding and will launder it for you too.

Can you help me dock the boat when I return?

Yes. Our staff are always at hand to assist with docking and can also come out to the boat and dock it for you if need be.

Can I provision the yacht close by?

Yes. There is a Coles and Liquorland just a 200m walk from our base.

Can I leave any items on the yacht?

Yes. Some owners are happy to leave items that they feel others might be able to use like binoculars, nautical publications, games and some cooking items.

Is a dinghy supplied with the yacht?

Yes, we have dinghies for use.  Many of the share owners elect to contribute together and get an inflatable with outboard that stays permanently on the yacht.
